Les Dickens Shout-out by Poplock Paul On Project2020

Dejay
Dejay Les Dickens on form...

How long have I known Dejay Les Dickens ?
I guess at least 8 or so years at the Hardwick venue where DJ Les does or did 'Karaoke Tuesdays' which is where I used to drop in to socially drink & dance. I may from going to Gosport via the Ferry from Portsmouth Dockyard to do some Security shifts know Les as far back as 2007 as I worked in the 'Waterfront' venue.
Dejay Les makes everyone welcome.
I do remember that Dejay Les played a track for me one day called 'Camoflage' which was a nice gesture. I cant talk openly about my past service but we have similar backgrounds & believe in Displine & Respect but also to have Fun and Enjoy music & Dance, etc: Quite often Dejay Les walked amongst us customers, to speak with people in a friendly manner & helps when he can.
Interactive skills ?
I can recall many times that Les has helped people to get into the singing and guides even the nervous ones through their first time or just because of nerves. I prefer to dance and usually do it to one side or another where there is space, I know a few times people dancing & drinking colliding with the DJ Booth. But still Les has been as calm as possible and usually most people tend to move further away. What ever happens on a night you can rely on Les to be calm & focused and delivers good solid entertainment every time
In short Dejay Les is an outstanding entertainer who makes an evening just that bit more special.
These are my own opinions & I could say more as over the years I have had many good nights drinking, etc:
Despite the lock down you can find, like tonight:
Foundry Friday LIVE tonight from facebook, 10-11pm on Live Stream Entertainment Network
You can find Dejay Les Dickens & other great Dejays of which some I hope to review too, Like Ryan Hadwick & Shaun Pearsey. I created this shout-out on Fri 8th May 2020.
Poplock Paul comment:
I do these shout outs and reviews every so often, been busy for awhile so it has been long overdue that I do this. I think Rox 2017 was the last BIG project where I raised awareness to 68,000+ visitors that year online. I do this more for Bognor Regis Music & Dance, Causes & Events. I done other smaller events, mostly filming, dancing & sharing. These are my thought or and opinions based on knowing these Artists for many years, whether I have been involved in Security work, as an Entertainer or simply there as a Customer of some venue or event. I get time off for good behaviour.
